About Jeff
I possess a BA from Stephen F Austin State University. I have served as the Student Guidance Advisor for a private school, taught at another private school, spoken to more than three million students in all 50 states and seven other countries as a motivational speaker, tutored the Law School Admissions Test for ten years, and tutored the ACT, SAT, ASVAB, TSI, GRE, and GMAT for eight years. On a more personal note, I am an avid Scrabble competitor, three-day champion on The Wheel of Fortune, student of dictionaries and grammar books (actually fun for me!), etc. I LOVE all things related to vocabulary, spelling, and grammar.
I am also a voracious reader and understand how to help students to read more efficiently and quickly.
I am very familiar with all of the formulas needed to perform well on the math sections. Most students just need friendly reminders of the methods they have learned but forgotten through the years.

I begin by getting to know a student, including their past test experience, their personal interests, etc. I then familiarize them with my binder of study materials and quickly move into a study of English/Writing, which has proven to be the most easily improved section on the ACT/SAT. I assign "homework" for my students, including reviews of our sessions, worksheets, and practice tests.

Details
My fee is $75/hour. I offer two-hour/($150) sessions. I charge an extra $30 fee for students who live more than 30 miles from my home in North Richland Hills, unless they would like to do remote sessions. If students or parents would like to discuss package plans, I offer slightly discounted sessions when paid up-front.
