About Cecilia
Hi, I'm Cecilia! I graduated from the acclaimed Williams College, where I remained on the Dean's List of academic excellence all four years. I received a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, with a focus on Comedy Theory, and I have since returned to teach.
As a teacher, I recognize that learning is a social experience and I know that an involved and caring teacher gets the best results, regardless of the age of the student. Learning has to be joyful to be effective, and so I am sure to prepare unique lesson plans for each of my students. My teaching methods emphasize strengthening communication skills.
I wrote for internationally famous comedian Stephen Colbert, but after a few years I left to teach because I did not find life in show business fulfilling). Working as a teacher has given me much more joy than professional comedy writing did, because of the visible positive influence I have on my students.
