About Veer
I'm an Ivy League student studying Computer Engineering with significant tutoring and teaching experience. My courseload is filled with english, history, math, science, and computer science courses. Throughout high school, I tutored middle school students in pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. I also spent my 11th-grade summer teaching 7th grade math, accumulating over 550 hours of teaching experience, including 70+ hours of training. Beyond my knowledge and experience, I am patient, personable, and genuinely excited about helping others learn.
I began by tutoring peers at my high school, and quickly realized I was passionate about doing it. I took the next big step by spending my entire summer after junior year teaching 7th grade students at a summer program, which solified my skills in and excitement for teaching.
As a Computer Engineering student at Columbia, I have taken signficant math, science, english, history, and computer science coursework, giving me a mastery of the material middle and high school students will come across. I have also spent years tutoring my peers in high school and spent over 550 hours, including 70+ hours of training, during my junior year summer teaching 7th grade students and building my own curriculum.

I begin by looking at current coursework and past assessment materials, in addition to asking the student what areas of success and trouble they are experiencing. Using these show and tell methods, we can begin work on problem areas to increase confidence and mastery of the material.
