About Nicole
I recently graduated high school (CO 2021) with honors at a 4.28 GPA. Since I recently graduated I will be able to connect more with the students who need help as opposed to a much older person. I will do my best to make my tutoring sessions worthwhile and I can guarantee students will feel more confident, after a couple of classes with me, in the given subject.
I love the joy on students' faces when they finally understand a topic they are being taught because I have made that face one too many times. I know how that feels.
Although I have not had any official tutoring training, I am well versed with tutoring elementary to high school students as I was a member of the national honors society at my high school and we volunteered a lot to tutor students that were not picking up on new content in their classes as fast as their peers. Especially during the pandemic where most schools were remote, I tried my best to assist my peers in subjects they didn't really understand in their class.
With my help, students that were set to not graduate with my grade (CO 2021) graduated.

With new students, I start off by getting to know them first before jumping straight into the subject. This way I can know what they are like and see if I can pick up on a learning habit that can be beneficial to the tutoring sessions in the long run.
The student may also ask me questions as well so they get to know who is tutoring them!!
