About Tanja
I am a scientist-practitioner with ample experience in tutoring and lecturing. I have taught any subject imaginable and for all ages. I have approximately 14 years experience, enjoying helping others whenever I can. I have taught individuals, as well as university classes with up to 40 students. Many school learners have gone from failing their languages and sciences to getting distinctions after my tutor assistance. I aim to always make the learning experience more approachable and interactive, ensuring that it is tailored to the individual's needs. :)

My teaching method entails problem-point-sourcing and then first working on the identified weaknesses. Thereafter, I always go back to the foundation of the subject and build the subject up from there based on the new content. I am really patient and a good listener. I also take more of a strict feedback-approach when recapping a previous lesson or after new content has been dealt with. This does not only help the student to grasp the work better, but also helps me as the tutor to improve my teaching method and realise when the content was not relayed sufficiently.

Tanja is a great tutor, I would totally recommend her if you'd like to learn Afrikaans. I offer hourly lessons at R130. My travel costs are calculated per the student's teaching location at R6 per km. Considering the lesson demands, I provide a discounted rate for every 10 lessons completed. Package deals discount available upon request and trust built.
