About Zahra
I’ve always enjoyed learning science, but I used to find exams challenging because of the pressure and not knowing the most effective ways to revise. During my gap year,where I worked as an LSA for SEN students and also during the first year of my pharmacy degree, I developed study techniques that can be tailored for all needs. Since then, I’ve seen great improvements not only in my own exam results but also in the progress of the students I tutor. I understand how discouraging it can be when you’re not achieving the grades you want, which is why I’m committed to helping students build confidence and reach their full potential!

I have been tutoring KS3 and GCSE for 2 years and will now be offering A-level Biology and Chemistry tuition. My lessons are all based on active recall and are tailored to the student's specific learning style. For SEN students, a worksheet is also provided to aid with note-taking during the lesson. I am open to 1hr, 1hr30min and 2hr lessons. The lesson structure is outlined below (based on 1 hr sessions): Starter (5 min) : Exam question/recall question on content covered in previous lesson. Main content (30-40 min): Explanation of content and notes. Cover any misunderstood topics and fill in knowledge gaps. Practice: (10/15 min): exam questions on the content covered in the session to round the lesson off. In addition to this, I provide "mock/predicted" papers and exam questions to help prepare the student for any upcoming exams. Lastly, I help to create exam revision timetables to ensure all points are understood and covered before the exam date.
