About Hope
I am currently employed as a high school English teacher, and am a 2023 Teach for America Corps member. I am also earning a Master's in Adolescent English Education. Prior to beginning my teaching career, I tutored high school-level ELA at Royal Test Prep in Queens, New York, specializing in preparing middle school students for the ELA portions of the PSAT and high school students for the ELA portions of the SAT and ACT. I also served as an AmeriCorps tutor and mentor for 10th grade students, where I assisted students with brainstorming, drafting, and editing essays.

In my lessons, I assist students in completing their own assignments or schoolwork, with a particular emphasis on long-form essay writing. I am able to walk you through every step of the way--from conferencing during the brainstorming process to turning nebulous ideas into words on the page. My specialty is middle, high school, and college (undergraduate) students.
