About Wei (David)

I am a University of Oregon student and I have tutored reading and writing to K-5 students. I have helped a student with a learning disability on essay writing, and he came up with great ideas for his essay. His teacher is very proud of him. I am always willing to go above and beyond for a student. I have methods to help students improve on their reading and writing skills. Grammar is something I am very engaged in and this makes sure that students have a fluent essay.

About the lesson

I approach the topic by explaining the content broadly, then have students read to me, and then I ask them questions. I use a rewarding system to motivate students. For essay writing, I help the student to brainstorm ideas and give tips as needed.

I have worked with Wei at the elementary level and he is prompt, organized, willing to work hard, and is always a professional. He was trusted with groups of challenging students and worked very well with them. I recommend Wei to others because he will be supportive of your learning goals and able to help with your school work.

Wei is an excellent teacher! I have seen him work in an academic setting and would highly recommend him. I have seen him teach Chinese language lessons and I was very impressed. Wei could be an amazing teacher for many different subject areas!
