About Liam
I am a certified General Science teacher in the state of Connecticut and I have a special interest in environmental science and physics. I just completed my first year of teaching in Hartford, Connecticut.
I love helping my students achieve their goals by identifying and building on their natural skills and making connections with what they already know. I believe that everyone is capable of success and I am honored to be a part of my student's journey!

Before diving straight into content, I like to get to know my students' interests, likes, and dislikes. I've found that this helps me make connections later on and frame concepts in ways that my students can relate to and understand more deeply. I'll also introduce myself and share about my professional interests to build a connection with a new student. Learning happens best in a partnership, so I work towards building trust through good communication and consistent high expectations.
Furthermore, I know how to get students from where they are to the point they want to be at. Helping my students set and achieve their goals is a key part of my work as a classroom teacher and this is helps my tutoring students immensly.
