About Purti
I have chosen a teaching career as my teachers left a very lasting impression on me in my growing years! I enjoy sharing my knowleadge and believe no subject or topic is difficult or boring! I build a rapport with my student and believe that when a student and teacher connect there is an invisible energy transfer! My students who are doctors , nurses, engineers still remember the topics I taught them 20 yrs ago!
knowledge is for sharing and the best gift you can give anyone! It's like winning a lotto when I hear my students earned a 4 or 5 in AP biology or chose a health care or medical profession as I was the one that generated an interest in the subject. Every year starts off with students whose minds are like a blank note book and I get the honor to draw beautiful images of the subject and teach them how all s Jen Ed are interrelated! Biology and anatomy physiology go hand in hand with chemistry as our body is like a chemical factory and blood pressure follows laws of physics ! The kid that got introduced to me as having a hard time in Biology ends up loving the subject
While in graduate school, I worked as a teaching assistant for a professor who taught a class of nearly 300 students in a large auditorium. I filled in the professor's classes on days he was out of class and the students loved my teaching style and I found teaching very gratifying. Throughout my teaching career of over 30 yrs I have consistently held 4.8/5 or 4.9/5 class evaluations for difficult and challenging classes like anatomy and physiology

I like to understand which topic is difficult to understand. Most students are visual learners and I have always found success teaching with the aid of simple diagrams, concept maps or flow charts and turning the concept into a story. By the time the student masters the concept, he/she is able to narrate the topic or chapter or teach their imaginary friend . I have worked with and had great success with students that had learning challenges and understand their frustrations. I am a patient teacher who believes that my student's success is my success!

She tutored my son when he was struggling and failing in AP Biology. She spent a lot of time restoring his confidence by focusing on the areas where he needed the most help.
He was able to pass the semester and did well afterwards. She also taught him forensic science , where she applied the same principles.
Her method of teaching is very conducive to leaning as she works well with the student and most importantly, knows the subject well.
I will definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their grades or understand Biology better.She was awesome! Tutored me for bio and anatomy! Got A’s in both and now I’m a NP. Still use her lessons about sodium potassium channels and anatomy every single day.
