About Sam
I stand out as a tutor because I am always ready to tackle a problem from another viewpoint. I am not afraid to make you think. I have a passion for what I do, and I really want to see others succeed. I have worked with all kinds of students, and I know how to adapt my teaching style to all learning styles.
I enjoy seeing the look on someone's face when they finally figure something out that they thought they would never be able to. I like helping people to fully realize that they are capable and intelligent as long as they put in the effort to be so.
I started as a way to get money, but I soon realized this is what I love to do. I changed my major one time, and I couldn't be happier with me decision.
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia. I am a science education major with a focus in chemistry. I have worked for the last five years as a private chemistry tutor for both high school and college students.

I like to start by getting to know my students a little bit at first. I then want to see how they work through a problem or two. This helps me to get an idea of how they think about situations.
I've worked with both high school and college students. I have also tutored elementary school students in other subjects like math. I have a few years of experience working with students with disabilities as well.
Choose someone who knows what they're doing, but also someone who enjoys doing it. The worst teachers are the ones who want to be there less than the students.
Last year I helped a General Chemistry student here at the University of Georgia get her grade in class up from a low C to a high B.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
