About Catlin
Biology and Chemistry don't have to be hard subjects to learn. As a Graduate level teaching student, I have developed skills and techniques to not only make learning fun, but also make it stick around in your head.
I have been tutoring Biology and Chemistey for the past five years and in that time I have completed a Bachelors or Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry.
My goal is to help my students succeed, from full hour long tutoring sessions, to answers quick questions via text. My goal is to be there for you in whatever way you need me.
I enjoy knowing that I helped someone have that "click" moments. The moment in which they finally understand something that had given them so much trouble before.
I got starting teaching in high school when I got tired of my older brothers making me do their math homework, so I taught them how to do it. From there, I have tutored my fellow classmates, as well as those older or younger than me, in math, chemistry, and biology because I hate to see someone fail. Everyone learns in different ways, and I have always been there to give them information in the way that suits them.
I am currently a Graduate student at Marshall, pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching. It is necessary to mention that I have also spent years tutoring my fellow students, and working as a teaching assistant.

It is necessary to determine where you are currently at in your studies and where you hope to be in the future. So, when working with new students, I usually start with an introduction that involves setting goals and a timeline, as well as, determining what exactly you want from me. Some students prefer memory games and test questions, some prefer full lessons. My goal is to help you learn in the best way that suits you.
I have worked with high school aged students and up, with the youngest student I've worked with being fourteen and the oldest being thirty-four. I am open to helping younger students, as well as older students who are just now going back to school and have forgotten a lot of information.

I couldn’t meet in person, so She would FaceTime me. I was also able to text her any time I had a question, that was a great plus! Also she gave me little sayings (like pemdas) for certain topics that helped me remember it when the came. I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a little help, and her prices aren’t bad either.
Cate is super nice and helpful. A little quiet at first but I guess she was just gagging my knowledge. She made a plan that really helped me learn the topic. I didn’t give her that last star because she’s usually only available in person in the afternoon or evening.
Cate is awesome guys! She helped me pass my required biology. Without her I wouldn’t be getting ready to graduate.
