About Dylan
Hello, I'm Dylan! I'm a Senior college student at the University of Arizona finishing out my undergraduate degree before starting Medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson! I have previously tutored students with learning challenges through the University in a variety of subjects, having the reached the highest tutoring certification possible. The organization I tutored at prioritized not answering the student's questions for them, but leading them to the answer themselves, all while imparting habits and techniques to study better on their own.
I love tutoring because not only do I get to see my students grow and succeed, but I get to teach them how to do so on their own, not even while tutoring. Having tutored with learning challenges, I learned how to adapt my own teaching style to best match each students to progress their own growth and knowledge. I have an understanding of multiple learning modalities that I can adapt to best fit all of my students. Each session will begin with setting up goals and establishing the student's background knowledge, and will finish with wrap up and reflection questions and setting goals for the student to continue on their own.
I scored A's in University level intro Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology and Anatomy, Biology, and Computer Science classes. I have also tutored all of these subjects extensively with students with learning challenges.
I scored in the 98th percentile on the MCAT studying on my own and have experience tutoring abstract study habits that will help all students.

I am in my final semester as a Univeristy of Arizona student finishing up a BS in Physiology. Additionally, I self-studied for the MCAT which earned me a 98th percentile score and admission to medical school.

Each session will begin with setting up goals and establishing the student's background knowledge, and will finish with wrap up and reflection questions and setting goals for the student to continue on their own. The session is the student's own and we will do whatever is needed to help you as much as possible. I seek to guide my students to the answer themselves rather than giving them the answer. This process along with how I tutor aids the student to be a more effective studier on their own as well.
I've worked with High School AP students, College students, and students with learning challenges/disabilities.

Details
My beginning price is $50 but my price is flexible to the students financial situation. My cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations within 24-3 hrs of the session may be exempt of the fee of 33% of the rate of the session. Within 1-2 will be 50%. Less than an hour or no shows may warrant a fee of up to the full rate plus 25%.
