About Olivia
I started teaching back in 2018 when I moved to Hawaii. I was looking to switch careers and applied to teach. I got the job and fell in love with the profession!
I have been a teacher for three years. Two years of high school level science:
- 9th grade Physical Science
- 10th, 11th, 12th grade Honors and Regular Chemistry
- 10th, 11th, 12th grade Marine Science
I am currently a licensed teacher working in a middle school as an 8th grade Physical Science.
I have an education in B.S. in Environmental Science and Energy.
I am currently earning my Masters in Education for Curriculum and Instruction in STEM

On Sundays I have the student send me an email on what they had learned the previous week or areas of imporvemnt that they want to focus in our session. I will design a plan for when we meet and then at the end of each session we set goals for the following week.
During sessions we go over content that need improvement or extra support, work on assignments, and I will provide extra materials and resources to help the student during and outside of our session.
I have worked with students of all ages. I have taught 13-18 year olds and I have experience tutoring elementary age students.
When looking for a tutor you want to make sure that you find somwone who will not only help you understand the content but teach you stategies for learning and studying that you can use beyond the tutoring.
