About Andy
Andy Q. Zhang, President/Principal/Professor Being a recognized Chinese linguistic and cultural expert with over 17 years of extensive experiences in translation, teaching, training and research, I have had rich expertise and strong capability in Mandarin Chinese language teaching and Chinese cultural research. Andy has practical teaching experience in Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States. Andy earned a distinguished score on Mandarin Chinese Test conducted by Illinois Certification Testing Systems (ICTS). Andy is a long-term member of Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA) and a certified translator of the Illinois State Early Intervention Program. Since June, 2004, I have been teaching Chinese lessons and cultural seminars to teachers and students from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Graduate School of Business at University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, Stanford University, Cornell University, Brown University, Harvard University, DePaul University, Indiana University, Loyola University Chicago, Columbia University, University of Georgia and the College of William & Marry. I am the author or 4 published books in learning Mandarin Chinese and another 14 books will be published in the next two years. I have taught over 25,000 students, professionals and executives since 2004.

I have been wanting to study/learn Mandarin Chinese for many years and thanks to the class being offered online, I could participate at this time when my schedule better permits. I have been studying/learning languages for many years and Professor Zhang's Mandarin Chinese class is formidable: the class online is very organized and covers a lot of ground without being overwhelming. Then, the class is supplemented by wonderful audio recordings to assist with vocabulary and other practice. Videos are a resource for further review of the chapters covered in class. And the workbook AND flashcards are the icing on the cake. Bring it all together and it offers a wonderful opportunity to have success with learning this beautiful language. Professor Zhang is slowly removing the fear and angst I have held onto about learning this language and I am excited about what the months and years ahead of learning can bring! Thank you! 谢谢!
