About Zahra
Hello! I am Zahra. I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC), where I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. During my time at USC, I was honored to be part of the Master’s Honors Program, a distinction awarded to the top master’s students. My strong academic foundation is complemented by professional experience as a Software Engineer at Meta (Facebook), where I worked on software engineering and large-scale machine learning projects. This industry experience has enriched my technical knowledge and deepened my appreciation for mentoring and teaching.
With two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant at USC, I have taught both undergraduate and graduate-level computer science courses, including Machine Learning for Data Science, Applications of Machine Learning, and Software Design and Optimization. My role involved designing assignments, leading lab sessions, and holding one-on-one office hours to assist students with coursework, programming challenges, and exam preparation. Additionally, I provided extra review sessions before exams, ensuring that students fully grasped key concepts through sample tests and discussions.
My tutoring approach is structured and adaptive. I begin by breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
