About Penny
All In A Jar's cooking school is a hands on class. Students get to be in the kitchen mixing, measuring, and cooking. Which is a great way to learn. The class start will a tour on All In A Jar's 4000 square foot garden then in to the kitchen for a snack which features some yummy creative appetizers that came from the garden and All In A Jar's pantry jar goodies. We do a minimum of two recipes each class. In the summer when the garden is producing an abundance we may make up to four recipes. After class we sit down to share a meal together.
I enjoy watching students get excited about learning something new. The best part of cooking it is endless . Use your imagination and have fun.
After hearing over a thousand time I wish I know how to preserve food and cook so creatively like you. I decided in the year 2012 to started my cooking school called All In A Jar. I also was hired by Back To The Table cooking school in Lafayette Ca., by Cozy Meal in San Francisco, Alamo Ace Hardware Store and a few learning gardens.
I have no formal education /or training. Just years of experience. I started in the kitchen at the age of six years old.

When working with a new student my first thing I want to know is, are they comfortable in the kitchen and what do they want to learn.
All In A Jar has had students that have never been in the kitchen, to culinary students and extrem experinced students.
My advice to students is to call the instructor ask about classes and see if it is the right fit for them.
All In A Jar's class are a lot of fun. The last private birthday party here at "The Farm" was so much fun they are coming back for an other birthday party. Private parties allow students to visit with their friend without interrupting other classmates.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The students should ask themselves what do I want from a class? Is it a fun experience or is it a certain skill you want to learn.

Penny’s classes are fun and educational. I’ve been in class with children, parents and friends. These canning classes have something for everyone, even the experienced canner. I go as often as I can. Penny, the farm and her infectious personality make for a delightful day, especially the gourmet lunch provided.
I love that we get hands on experience for each canning recipe and that we get to take a jar of each home (including the recipe). We also enjoy tasting a variety of her canned foods through out the morning. We end the day with a wonderful lunch and a tour of her wonderful garden. Penny makes the class fun and educational.
Wow! Penny’s classes our held on her beautiful farm, where a lot of her ingredients come from her large vegetable garden that she uses in her recipes. All grown organic!
She is there step by step showing, helping, and explaining her recipes thoroughly.
The meal you share is thought out using her recipes you make and others that you can come back and learn in a future class. The table is set for your dining pleasure, 5 star! I felt so special.

Details
The standard pricing for All In A Jar's Canning Class here at "The Farm" in Ione, Ca. is $50.00 each student. Each student will have a snack at the beginning of class, learn minimum of two recipes may be up to four recipes, Go home will a jar of each recipe and the recipes, with a sit down meal at the end of class.
All In A Jar is very creative with making special events ie.. birthday party, baby showers, and engagement parties. These class may vary is cost.
