DC is firm on instilling the basics and foundational steps of the KC 2-step. If you do not have it, he WILL NOT move you forward to the next level of moves. Brilliance in the basics of dance (and any area of life really) set you up to execute the more complicated moves. These are also the most fun. As your confidence grows in your dance skills, you can dance with anyone regardless of their skill level. I have received compliments from various dancers(male and female) concerning my ability to execute a multitude of turns and transition smoothly from one move into another without losing count or obvious errors. A big part of this is practicing on the things he tells you need to work on between sessions.

If I can get it there is hope for everyone else. DC was patient with me and kept working with me until it clicked in my brain. He gave me suggestions of things to do at home and homework assignments for when I went out dancing. I have taken lessons under other instructors. They weren't bad and they weren't good. After being under his tutelage there is a certain level of excellence I expected them to have that wasn't present. When it comes to the basics, passion, technique, knowledge, and ease of instruction, DC is the person you want leading your workshop or block of classes.

I can’t say enough positive things about DC and the dance class. I’ve never taken a dance class before, this was my very first time and it was a great experience. He was very professional, friendly, nice, and personable. He was very considerate when needing extra help. I would give 20 stars if possible.

They are very thorough and patient. I like the fact that they are able to work with each individual person. Overall a great class.

Very structured with every class serving as a building block for the next class. The instructors made the class fun and were engaging and approachable before and after class. If you ever wanted to learn the proper way to two-step in a fun and non- intimidating atmosphere, this is the class for you!

Not only are the instructors very knowledgeable but they gave care to make sure all students fully understood the full scope and respect this dance style(KC 2Step). The instructors insist students are able to explain the why's in addition to knowing how to do something.
