About Haley
I thrive on tailoring my lessons to fit the needs of my students! I make sure the foundations are solid and help develop their talent in their favorite art medium! I'm a jack of just about all trades in the traditional art sector and I'm proud to share my knowledge and experience with my students!
I've been doing Art since I was 6 and have been tutoring on and off since High School. I'm excited to make a more formal arrangement out of it!
I have taken classes at Digipen College for animation, and have been self taught most of my life. Currently I'm Getting my Art Education degree at the Academt of Art University in San Francisco. My work has been in my local art museum during my School Career. I'm a stickler for the details and have developed a knack for sniffing out problems. When they arise for myself or others I can quickly help and bring them past their art blocks and help take them to the next level again until they don't need me any more!
I love watching my students grow in confidence, and become curious about what the media they're using can do to help them express their creativity! It makes me so happy to see that growth!
I got started in high school when other art students were falling behind and did not understand how to use the materials in front of them. I would spend time with them during class and after school to help them not only learn about how their medium functions, but how to best utilize it and find their own style! Soon student's grades pulled up! Now I currently tutor some home schoolers Art 101 classes and they're making wonderful progress! I'd love to help you or your loved one too!
I have been doing art since I was six years old, have taken classes through my high school career, and have taken classes at Digipen College. I have genuine passion for art and a passion to share my knowledge with others interested in learning!

We discuss their goals and asperations, and what medium(s) they are interested in learning how to master. I then make a lesson plan tailored to them, making sure they are solid in their foundation, and developing their already existing passion and talent!
Sit down with your prospective teacher- see if you two can work well together (together being the key word here) having someone who you understand, can learn from and work alongside until they simply don't have anything left to teach is beyond valuable.
I got to go to an art fair recently, and seeing all the different craftsmanship was quite inspiring! I would highly encourage anyone reading to explore your community, it doesn't have to be an art fair specifically (as amazing as it was) it could be a county fair with lights and rides, full of happy children, a walk in the park, a hike at a nearby trail, or simply looking out your window at the sunrise and sunset! The world has so much beauty and such beautiful moment should be remembered 🥰

Details
I am negotiable, but on average I look to charge $20.00 an hour for basic art skills (such as Art 101 skills). And for in depth classes on one specific art medium I generally charge $25.00 and hour. My classes usually last an hour, but again that also depends on the students availability.
