About Nick
I’ve been playing drums for 23 years and have a wide vocabulary on the subject. I want to help students start or further their drum education (beginner to advanced) and help them achieve their goals along the way. I love trying out new genres, techniques, and timings to push myself and explore new possibilities on the drum kit. I would love to pass these concepts and lessons on to you!
EXPERIENCE: Portland State Symphonic Band, High school honor and jazz band, played in different bands (Rock, Folk, Worship), drum tech on the Warp Tour.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: Hand and foot technique, rudiments and how to apply them to the drum kit, improved timing, grooves, independence, groupings and subdivisions, orchestration, reading drum charts and notation, and more.
