About Michael
Smoky Mountain Drum Lessons offers an elite drum learning program through private drum lesson sessions in Tennessee. Located in Sevierville but also willing to drive to students in the surround area such as Knoxville. The goal is to teach students how to play drums in a fun/productive way of learning the instrument.
Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Production. I've played drums for 15 years began learning in high school my sophomore year. Since then I've seen my favorite drummers live, played shows of my own, recorded music and taught private drum lessons as an instructor.

Students who have no prior experience with drumming we will start from the very basics. First off I like to get to know the student ask why drum lessons are important and how they feel about music in general. Going to the basics teaching new students about all the parts that make up a drum kit, go over the vocabulary and what each part means, going over how to properly hold drum sticks, go over body posture while sitting on a drum kit, teach basic drum beats/rudiments, learn songs and overall have an enjoyable time.
