About Dylan
I am a self-taught guitarist with a passion for creating music and helping others express themselves through the guitar. My goal is to outline crutial theory and proper techniques that the student will gain the knowledge of how to teach themselves as well. I began teaching in high school when the music director began not only encouraging me to teach but sending me paying students! One especially nice benefit of the way I teach (especially for parents of students) is that I travel to my student's homes for generally an hour lesson. Half-hour lessons are available but only recommended if the student has a very short attention span. This saves parents time and also allows them to see how their child responds to my style of teaching and gives the child a relaxed environment to learn. I don't just work with kids, I actually very much enjoy older students who can handle putting in the needed time.
Watching people grow, and the excitment and confidence that comes with learning something new and then being able to do it well.

I find out what they like and try to get them playing something right away. Whatever gets them making music from day 1. I also really try to taylor each lesson to the individual. No two are the same and I've found everyone learns a little bit differently.
