I met Ginna Paredes in 2012 when taking a leisure course through LSU for group harp lessons. I studied with the group for about two years. Most valuable to me, was learning the technique of playing the harp. Fortunately, she is considered a leading technique teacher in our area which helped me to get the music from my head into my hands and harp strings properly. Eventually, I moved on to further studies and am now a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner with the International Harp Therapy Program. I will always be grateful to Mrs. Parades for her teachings and encouragement. Until I met her, I thought that all harps were expensive instruments, thus making them unobtainable for those who wanted to simply try them out. She taught me otherwise which helped me to step into a new chapter of my life.

Ginna is an amazing teacher!

Ms Paredes is a wonderful teacher--very caring and gentle and encouraging. She teaches excellent technique as well as improvisation and composition on the instrument. We are grateful for the instruction we received from her and would recommend her to anyone looking for lessons.

Gonna was my piano teacher for 2 years. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging; an excellent teacher. I knew nothing about playing the piano before she became my teacher. She taught me the basics and fostered a love of playing. Now, whenever I play I build on the fundamental skills that I learned from her.
