About Grace
As a High School English Teacher, I am dedicated to helping students develop better reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. I have a Bachelor's degree in World Literature, a Master's in Education and am Special Education certified. I am licensed to teach English grades 6-12 and am certified to teach Special Education K-12.
I enjoy working with all kinds of students. I love being able to get to know them and help them grow, not just as students, but as individuals. I believe it is important to help students broaden their minds and help them become more well-rounded individuals. Teaching English, I have been able to incorporate current events, international stories, as well as classic material. I try to foster an environment where students feel comfortable speaking their minds and expressing their thoughts and ideas. By doing so, I hope to encourage students to develop and maintain open minds beyond my classroom. Being able to see my students grow from open and respectful discussions and ultimately leave my class with a growth mindset has been the most rewarding aspect of my job.

Due to COVID-19, I will be working remotely with students. I will utilize Google Meet during scheduled tutoring times.
I have worked with a variety of students. Some with 504s and some with IEPs. I worked with students with a D.S., Autism, and behavioral disorders.
