About Youngseob
When I came to America as a wee lad, I was hampered by a language barrier. I sought to fix that right away, and by 3rd grade, I not only tested out of ESL but also tested into gifted classes. My passion culminated into becoming my high school's valedictorian. When I enrolled in the University of Virginia, I pursued further studies into the nuances of the English language. Outside of school, I taught ESL and was a part of a student hip hop organization. After graduating with speciality in modern American literature, I became an English instructor at a community college. Teaching is in my DNA, and nothing is more cherishable than teaching!
During my time as an instructor at a community college, I taught high school seniors taking college courses, college students, and working adults. As you can guess, they all have varying levels of proficiency, availability, and motivation. I've learned to be more adaptable to each student's needs and learning styles, and this has helped in accommodating the student to accomplish more. Translating that success to 1-on-1 tutoring allows a more focused teaching-learning experience.
