About Sarah
I graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in English (Nonfiction Writing) and Classics and coursework in Education Studies. I worked at Brown's Writing Center, helping peers achieve their writing goals by providing thoughtful comments and holding conferences to guide their writing processes. I take pride in delivering meaningful feedback that helps writers best convey their ideas, and discussing strategies for meeting academic goals.
I have worked with students from pre-K to the university level. I am happy to provide general afterschool help, or consult on something more specific, like a college essay or research paper. My areas of speciality include English (reading/writing), social studies, and Latin (at the beginner level). Education is my passion and I always look to cultivate learning experiences where students guide the way.
I enjoy working one on one with students to understand them as individuals and tailor the academic support I can provide them. I especially love having conversations about writing with people of all ages, and working with students who are having their first venture into learning Latin. Language is so powerful, and it's exciting to see connections form and creativity at work.
