About Ki
I began to teach when I was traveling in an informal setting. In many of the places I stayed, I would volunteer to help some of the local families with practicing English or assisting children with basic school work.
This sparked my passion for teaching, and I'm now pursuing a degree in Educational Studies for a more formal education on different teaching practices and methods.
During my travels to countries including Malaysia, Brazil, Colombia, and Singapore, I would volunteer as a tutor to help young students with learning English and basic school work.
My hope with moving my tutoring experience online is to connect with more students and gain new skills for how to assist learners build strong study habits.

As a tutor, I understand that every student has a different style of learning. Before diving in to solve a problem, I try to get an understanding for how a student will best learn, whether that's by visual aids, audio learning, or demonstration. My goal in tutoring is to give the student skills for how to study in the long term, not just with the immediate problem at hand.
I have mostly worked with younger students while I was traveling. Sometimes I would also help teenagers or adults with practicing English, but for the most part my students were between six and fifteen years of age.
