About Emma
As someone who has learned multiple languages, I'm fascinated with human's ability to communicate effectively. I am committed to providing my students with a thorough English education.
I love seeing my students confidently use the material they've in all areas of their lives.
I've worked with elementary-aged children for three years in a range of subjects; however, I have the most experience teaching reading.
For two years, I taught ESL to people from countries such as Congo, Burma, Nepal, Turkey, South Korea, China, Malaysia, and France. I focused primarily on pronunciation, spelling, grammar, and vocabulary as well as reading.

I like to spend about twenty minutes getting to know students and asking what they want to accomplish in their lessons. I write down these goals and create lesson plans accordingly. As I get to know the student's learning style better, I will mold my teaching style to their learning needs.
I've worked with students from a variety of countries who wanted to learn English. I have also worked with elementary school children who were learning grammar, spelling, and reading in a brick and mortar setting.
