About Stephany
In the first session, we run through a small test to establish what level the student is or if the student already knows what area they struggle in, we can jump straight into it! I can adjust to homework help or individual lessons that can be applied to what the student is learning in school. También hablo español.
I truly enjoy when my students find that they have improved academically and built their confidence towards the subject. Helping students reach a higher level of understanding in English through fun lessons and tutoring is rewarding and satisfying.
As an honors student in High School, I began tutoring younger children at my local elementary and middle school so I specialize with children ages 4-13 but as I grew older, I expanded my tutoring horizons. In college, I began tutoring high school students and also volunteered to tutor peers in college to review and correct essay style papers.
I currently have my Bachelors of Science in Business Management and am currently pursuing my second Bachelors Degree in Human Resource.

First I start with a small test to see what level the student is currently at and then I will make a custom tutoring plan within certain timeframes and adjust according to student's needs.
I've worked with students from K-12, and occasionally 1st and 2nd years pursuing an undergrade degree.
I would advise the student to look for a teacher that is flexible to the students needs and that can adjust their teaching style to fit the student. Also, to search for a teacher or tutor that makes the students improvement and education a priority.
One of my fondest moments was seeing one of my students who was struggling a lot improve by the end of the school year. She received a final grade of a B, from having a D before the help, and also passed her AP exam in the same subject.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do I prefer visuals or words?
How much help do I need?
Do I need homework help or additional help, like supplemental to homework?
