About Ariel
Hi, I'm Ariel! I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in English Writing and Communication. I focus on reading comprehension, essay writing/revision, cover letters, and grammar. I am passionate about educating and personally investing myself into each student I work with. During my time at Pitt's Writing Center, I edited papers and helped students write comprehensive theses. I also have professional experience editing Creative Writing and Nonfiction Writing.
I work with students of all ages and enjoy watching the progress they make. It is especially rewarding when they walk away from a session with a clear idea as to what they need to do to succeed. I love helping students find ways they learn best.

When I first start working with a student, I like to establish where the student is struggling and why. I might give them a writing prompt or quote to analyze, for example. I then try different methods to see which are productively engaging the student in the material. We then set goals together to overcome specific challenges the student faces.
