About Michelle
My name is Michelle Fang, and I am a student at the University of Pennsylvania. I have spent hundreds of hours working with kids of all ages for the past 6 years now: I really enjoy teaching and tutoring, and have a lot of experience with furthering understanding in different topics by finding an interesting way to explain new things. I specialize in English and writing skills, particularly in standardized test preparation and writing college essays. I am also well-versed in teaching foundational math skills, fostering understanding using different methods. I love teaching and mentoring, knowing that I have helped a student grow and furthered them on their journey to success. I have taught students in many different settings: as a teacher's aide in summer school, as a tutor in after-school programming, as an assistant coach, as a private tutor, and as a writing coach for college essays. I love getting to know every student personally, helping them achieve their goals as not just a tutor but a mentor and friend.
I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring students in many different settings. As a recent high school graduate and student at an Ivy League university, I have collected a lot of knowledge on my journey to get to where I am now.

The first meeting is a free consultation to learn how I can best help the student in their areas of need. I will discuss with both student and guardian and come to an agreement on a plan moving forward, and am very flexible with every meeting.
