About SHERRY
Good Day to You,
I have been an educated and avid reader since the age of two. I can help you to become a better reader by pronunciation, sounding out phonics, enunciation, and comphrehension of words and phrases. I am patient and understanding, and what we don't know, we will look it up together!
I was educated in the New York City and North Carolina schools and College Systems. I was a HeadStart Teacher for many years as well as a long time Substitute Teacher for North Carolina. I also raised and taught over twenty children, mine and special needs foster children. Many went on to College. I prefer to teach younger children up to age fourteen, people with special needs, and/or anyone learning or needing help with American English.

That would be the responsible person explaining to me what they need or want to achieve. First, I would like for them to read to me, I would gently correct any mistakes, have them reread the sentence, and then ask what did they understand or not understand about what they read. Commendation is always peppered throughout the lesson.
