About Nathalie
My name is Nathalie and I'm a recent cum laude graduate from San Diego State University. I can help with all things reading and writing!
I have decades of experience being a student and years of experience in the work force as an employed writer and editor where I honed my skills in essay writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation, AP style writing, proofreading and much more.
I use a very positive and patient approach to teaching with frequent check-ins. I also encourage an environment with open dialogue between me and my students. Lastly, I have the ability to adapt to the different learning styles of each student because I know that no two students are the same!
I was a very successful college student where I took and passed writing exams such as the WPA and GSP. I also am employed as an editor of a magazine where I write and proofread hundreds of articles.

I find that a patient and positive approach works best. I start out by observing my students to find out their learning style, once I know this information, I'm able to tailor my lessons to best suit their specific needs. I also think it's very important to encourage open dialogue between me and my students so that they feel comfortable asking me questions, I do this through frequent check-ins to keep track of the student's progress.
I have experience working with all different learning styles; visual, auditory, verbal, physical, logical, social, solitary and naturalistic learners. I have a deep understanding of how to cater to each learning style which helps my success in tutoring.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I don't think a student should ever hesitate before talking to teachers about their specific needs, no matter what! It's very important that teachers have an understanding of their specific needs as a student so that they can provide them with the best help possible.
