About Daina
I work tutoring children grades K-3 under an interventionist outside school hours. I’d like to expand and begin tutoring all those that may want to give their children “extra” education. I spent years working for the Norwich Public School system (and no longer do, for actual fear of my life). The public schools and even the magnet schools are just chaos, and I know what your children go through. I’ve worked with special needs children. I will work with any child - whether they need some extra help, just want to stay on track, or want to get a leg up. I have many resources only teachers can get. I encourage children to try to have fun learning with manipulatives, and by coming up with strategies that make work seem less like “work”.
I will also tutor anyone of any age on the subjects of grammar and spelling. I can proofread papers for such errors, as well. I have no formal education in this field but a natural gift as well as fascination, so I’ve been studying these areas for fun for practically all of my life.
My mom was a teacher. Honestly, nepetism. But I grew to love and become very passionate about helping children learn.
I’ve worked for several schools in the Norwich Public School system K-3. For a couple of years I worked exclusively with special needs children.

Not standard - only because I offer three different services (K-3 tutoring, grammar/spelling, proofreading). We can discuss pricing. $15/hr is typically the baseline - unless you present me with something very challenging, no more than $25/hr (+ travel fee if I come to you).
