I played an organ years ago ( I am 70 years old) and lost a lot of skills. I now have a digital piano, but I was not satisfied with my progress.

So I signed up for lessons with Steve. I took piano lessons from Steve for about 18 months. I moved about an hour away, so it was not practical to continue with him.

The lessons from Steve were exactly what I was looking for. He figured out my skill level and set up a plan for me. He stressed the fundamentals while teaching a song at the same time. Being able to play a song, even a simple one, was a great reward. Then we progressed to develop more skills and more interesting songs.

Steve is patient, attentive and a good coach. He genuinely loves teaching and finds that “spark” in to build on. I saw this many times as I would listen to him teaching the student before me.

Steve is a great musician and a wonderful music instructor. My son has taken lessons with Steve for 6 years starting at age 5 and 3 different instruments - piano, drums and guitar. Steve is very patient and encouraging but also recognizes kids can have good and bad days. When COVID hit, we transitioned to virtual lessons and barely skipped a beat. Lessons have continued as normal and my son is progressing as usual. We consider Steve a friend of the family and even go to some of his performances. We definitely recommend him as a music instructor both in person and virtually.

These lessons are amazing! The online set up he uses sounds great. There is rarely any lag in the audio or video, and the sound quality is the best! On top of that, he is an outstanding guitar coach. He isn't afraid to tell you if you mess up and then gives you useful tips to improve. No matter what your skill level is, he always has something new for you to learn.
