About Dylan
I offer guitar lessons for all ages, styles and skill levels. I know that looking for the right teacher can be stressful. You want to make sure you make the right decision and find someone who is experienced, prepared and really cares about their students. Something very unique about these lessons is I am trained not just on how to play the guitar but also how to teach. I know how to get you massive results in a very short amount of time. Guitar lessons are not one size fits all so the very first thing is we will go through your goals and figure out exactly what you want to get out of lessons. Based on this a personal plan will be tailored to you to ensure you are learning what you want and in the quickest time possible. Guitar lessons are supposed to be fun so the faster the progress the more fun and motivating it is. I will be there with you every step of the way to not only teach you but also train and mentor you through the process.
I absolutely love mapping out my student's goals and seeing the accomplish what they have been wanted to do for so long. It is so fulfilling to see students progress and become more confident in their playing. Being able to teach amazing people and make a difference in their lives is a dream job.
Growing up near Atlanta, Dylan has always had a passion for music. From a very young age, he fell in love with the guitar and found it to be something he wanted to pursue.
After high school, he made the decision to attend the prestigious Atlanta Institute of Music (AIM). While there, he had the opportunity to study all aspects of guitar and work with many great musicians including Bill Hart, Carl Culpepper and Nite Driscol.
Since graduating with honors in 2013, Dylan has worked as a studio session musician in Atlanta and has been teaching and performing full time. In early 2014, he signed with Renegade Recordings – an Atlanta-based independent record label – and released his first album in 2016.
Over the years, he has played with several bands ranging in many styles of music including rock, jazz, fusion and praise and worship. He is currently one of the guitarists for Grace Church, and also is the lead guitarist for his own band, and a few more.
Although Dylan loves performing, teaching is his biggest passion. Dylan has been teaching professionally for 8 years and is studying under one of the world's leading guitar teachers. He is trained in all genres and specializes in teaching rock, blues, and jazz. If you're looking for jazz, blues or rock guitar lessons Dylan is the person to go to. Whatever level of guitar playing you want to reach Dylan knows just how to get you there.

The very first thing is I will talk to you about your goals and what you want to get out of lessons. Then I will make a step by step plan for you to ensure you are progressing as quickly as possible and are learning the things that you want to.
I have worked with every type of student imaginable. Anywhere from 5-70 years old with musical tastes ranging from rock, metal, jazz, and blues.
The first thing you need to ask a teacher is where they have been trained on how to teach, Unfortunately, most guitar teachers have not trained on how to teach which will leave you with ineffective lessons. A few things worth thinking about before reaching out

I like the flexibility of multiple class offerings and different kinds of classes that I can choose. Dylan is an awesome guitarist and teacher for anyone at any age or skill level.
Dylan is an awesome instructor! Does a great job of addressing your needs and goals. Also gives practical tips on how to grow as an instrumentalists and songwriter. Wish I had more time to take more lessons because they're very beneficial.

Before attending Summit School of Guitar, I was trying to teach myself through YouTube and other apps but was not learning much. I figured Dylan would teach me easier ways to play chords and other simple stuff but i was completely wrong. Dylan started with the basics where I learned why certain chords sounded the way they did and how each chord complimented the other. Dylan has helped me improve my guitar skills immensely! I could tell i was getting better in a short period of time, not to mention my friends were blown away! I highly recommend Summit School of Guitar to anyone wanting to learn to play! Dylan is an amazing guitarist and can teach anyone at any level!
Like many, I have been playing for many years (since 1975) and never took a professional lesson. After considering all of my options, I contacted Dylan Andrews because of his high ratings and good reviews. Was very impressed with Dylan at our initial consultation because he was interested in “My Goals”. Have been going weekly now for 10 months and am astonished at how far I have come. Now, I am doing things on the guitar that I never thought possible. Be prepared to SHOCK you family and friends (as they stare at you with their mouth hanging open) as you play at a family gathering, or on the front porch. Sure wish I did this 40 years ago. Soon, I will be recording my own music for my cooking videos.
