About Unsubscribe
I began studying guitar in 1971, performing as early as the mid 70's. In the mid 90's, I formed a local musicians referral service in hopes of meeting musicians. The success of this endeavor was made possible by hosting monthly open jams. At these gatherings, I'd meet many people and learn a lot of really cool music styles.
I specialize in basic introductory guitar instruction. When the student can select sheet music and learn it well enough to perform, my job is finished.
This can only be accomplished with practice. The student cannot be distracted in the least. If steady progress is not noticeable, I will cancel lessons until the student can later audition and prove worthy effort to try lessons again.
I've been teaching out of my home recording studio for 25 years. I like to record students and let them critique themselves. I also teach groups, enabling students to perform for each other.
