About Charles
Have been playing guitar for over 50 years now. Started at an early age by my Mother who was a professional classical guitarist. Can play classical, read music, teach unique style of finger-picking. Teach just enough Guitar Theory to not get bogged down or bored with it. Mainly how a few basic scales are formed, a few lead guitar patterns, some regular and jazz chords and how chords are made from scales. Can do Skype lessons or come to your place. Available mainly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Used to play in several local Memphis bands on weekends for over 15 years. See me on Facebook under Charles Gilllihan.

Must have own guitar. Start with a few chords to learn your favorite song. We start with the fun stuff, then throw in a few minutes of scale patterns and nice lead patterns. Finger-picking is also taught in an easy to learn format. I have written several original instrumental songs. Learn different guitar tunings.
