I began taking lessons from Don a month ago after starting my guitar journey by myself. On my first lesson, Don immediately corrected some of the fundamental errors and got me started on my good habits.

In the month of taking lessons, Don has helped guide me through the basics and I have learned quite a bit. I spend quite a few hours a week of solo learning, and everything I have learned has been applicable and helpful outside of the confined lesson plans.

Don has been a wonderful teacher, and deciding to continue with him is a no Brainerd as far as I'm concerned. Each lesson I learn something new that takes me forward in my guitar journey, and I can't wait to see where I am in due time under Don's guidance.

Donster is the bomb dot com! Seriously he gets what you need to learn and will push you to learn the things that are important! From little kids to adults like myself I have witnessed his teaching on both spectrums! He takes the time to explain when you have questions, and even relates to any struggles you may have. I can’t say enough good things about Donster, truthfully I’d be here all night...One last thing to mention even if you struggle with creating a tone he will even help you create what your vision is out of your gear!

Don's lesson plans are well-structured and concise. He builds coursework off of you, the student, and takes care to ensure you know what you need to know as a musician, not just a guitarist. He is truly a teacher at heart, and makes building his students into better musicians and people his top priority.

Dawn is great at taking info and breaking it down into small segments which are easy to understand Andre chain. He has a passion for music that is contagious and inspires me to focus. If you want to REALLY know how your guitar works, this is the guy to learn from. If you already think you know how to play, this is the guy that will take you to the next level. I've played 20+ years and found a whole new world and level to play at from Don. I thought I was good before Don. I knew all my arpeggios, sweep, legatos, modes, etc. Then... I met Don. And he took me to a whole new level. And there STILL another level beyond this one. Can't say enough about this guy.

Don was so incredibly helpful to me in the development of my voice. I enjoyed his upbeat additude & how he made me believe in myself. After having learned much from Don I started a career in music. I went on to join many bands & make my living off of music for sometime. I can say that his teaching was the only reason I had the courage to step foot back in the booth and back on stage. Don was my first private instructor back in middle school. I had half hour lessons from him every week for well over a year and a half where we worked on theory as well as various music that I was interested in. I will always look back in fondness and appreciate the knowledge he provided to me. Don has a wealth of information & experience to draw from, and is very skilled at playing, as well as sharing his knowledge with others in a way that is most beneficial to the individual student. He is a man of his word and has been a great friend to me the entire time I have know him. I am now 22 years old and am pursuing a degree in music education at the University of Nevada in Reno, and I am truly thankful for the musical foundation I received from Don because it has helped me greatly in the years since I was his pupil. Over time we have kept in touch and he is always willing to provide me with more information that I can use to guide my own practice. I could not recommend Don more highly as an experienced music teacher!
