My teaching philosophy is simple: Have a fun time learning the guitar via the music YOU like best! My job, is to get you playing the kind of music that makes you want to pick-up the guitar everyday!
Ever wanted the skill to play fast solos, sweep-picked arpeggios, and completely understand the fret-board? Maybe you just wanted to improve your over-all lead guitar technique? Maybe you have never touched a guitar, but would like to start playing! Let me help you!
I've been teaching students these skills for over 16 years, with each lesson custom-tailored to you and and your individual needs as a guitar player. I am a college educated instructor and performer with Blues, Rock, Metal, Flamenco and Classical being my specialities. I offer weekly half-hour and hour lessons Monday-Friday and offer competitive rates. Contact me to set-up a phone consultation and we can get you on your way!
I love seeing students excited about picking up the guitar and playing! Be it learning a favorite song, or writing music, watching students find joy in their instrument is always a pleasure!
I also enjoy working with students who have learning challenges such as autism, dyslexia, neurological issues, and aspergers.
I studied musicology, composition, and music education in the United states, Japan, and throughout Europe.

I start by getting to know what genre of music the student is most interested in studying, and any goals they might have. I then customize lessons based on that discussion, and what will best help the student achieve their goals!
