About Simon
Private instruction with a focus on having fun while learning to read music, ear training, learning pop and rock songs, and playing along with either the teacher on guitar/voice or with the actual original song on cd or Apple Music/YouTube. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.
Started at local music stores throughout college and eventually just on my own out of my home or doing housecalls.
25+ years private teaching experience. 30+ years performing and recording experience. Hundreds of students in the New England and Bay Area. Studied music education and sound recording at University of Massachusetts (Lowell). Certification in the Music Together music and movement program. Experience in childcare and development from Hanscom Air Force Base. Lead guitarist and vocalist for several professional bands.

Trial lesson will involve basic rhythm test and finding a few notes or chords depending on the instrument. I will demonstrate what can be done with the instrument in a few different genres or styles. Class and homework expectations and how to practice efficiently will be discussed.

Details
$35 for 30 minute lessons once per week. Pre-payment for the month on the last lesson of every month. Lessons will be virtual via FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom.
