About Sally
Tutoring and teaching are my life's work. When I first organized a Tutoring program for an elementary school in Illinois, I recruited 30 tutors. Test scores rose considerably during the years of our program and we were in demand by every teacher at the school. I went on to organize several other programs in location where I lived - Long Beach, CA, Fort Collins, Colorado and Peoria, Illinois.
Currently I have select individual clients . I am also a personal fitness trainer. Physical and intellectual training go hand in hand and I love researching the newest methods to produce results in all my clients.
I began my career after my receiving my Masters in Education from Bradley University. I worked with youth programs for the American Red Cross, and the American Heart Association as well as independently.
I branched out to home/alternative curriculum education for high school. My clients were students who were not satisfied or suited to traditional secondary education. All of my students were accepted at outstanding colleges.
I have over 30 years experience in educating youth and adults and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing my clients thrive and excel. Above all, I listen. I always strive to help my students and clients discover the "spark" that leads to excitement and success. Our work is a partnership. Distractions and overwhelming information lead to disillusion. And what a sharme, as learning is truly life-changing. Many students have difficulties in discerning "how"to study, verses "what" to study. I have some fairly basic lessons that can really assist in this distinction.
Our world has changed exponentially in the past few years. This can be a great opportunity for growth. And sometimes, all it takes is a little help.
