About Amy

My passion for horses, and making life better for them, continues to grow. My goal is to be ever learning, and to help other riders do the same. I've been teaching and training for over 30 years. For a large part of that time, I trained and showed Morgan horses. I still have Morgans, but love working with any breed. I teach both, English and western seats (various disciplines), as well as driving. I love working with riders who are really looking to be the best they can be, for their horses. I started teaching 30 years ago. I started out showing Morgan, Arabian and saddlebreds.

I'm a student of the horse, but have been very fortunate to learn from some amazing, talented horsemen. I'm constantly learning and growing in my horsemanship and clinics and trainings, often.

I like to get to know someone as I observe and answer questions they may have. I want to know what their goals are. I might discuss some fundamentals, and see what their level of understanding is.

I love working with adult riders. I prefer to work with those who are really looking to build partnership with their horse.

Check references. Ask others who've learned from them. Watch them work.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do they have the time, and determination, to learn to really be better rider?
