About Haeyoon
Hi! My name is Haeyoon Park. I'm a mom of 3 children and also teach Korean at the United Korean School of Greater Washington/MD campus. I also have a certificate to teach Korean as a foreign language and have experience teaching in an international school.
My family and I came to the States 4 years ago in 2017. My kids didn't know any English at that time but now it's a war in the house to make them speak Korean. Learning a language takes work! If you don't use it, you forget. If you want to learn Korean or any new language, you have to put your effort and time into it. I sincerely enjoy my students' happy faces when they connect and understand what they are studying!
I have over 10 years of tutoring experience. At first, I've taught English to Korean students but when I got a job at Korea International school, I switched to teaching Korean to international students!
I have a Master's Degree in TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and also have a certificate in KFL(Korean as a Foreign Language) Teachers Training Program.
Currently, I am a Korean teacher at the United Korean School of Greater Washington MD campus.
