About Elise

Are you seeking dedicated and specialized support for your child's educational journey? Look no further! I am thrilled to introduce myself as a former special education teacher and reading specialist with an impressive 9 years of experience, now offering virtual tutoring sessions.

-Specialized Expertise: My tutoring sessions are backed by my extensive training through the Orton Gillingham Academy. With practical proficiency in instructing utilizing the Orton Gillingham approach, Wilson Reading, SPIRE, Fundations, and IMSE materials, I'm equipped to cater to various learning styles and needs.

-Proven Credentials: Holding a New York State certification in teaching and a master's degree in Reading & Literacy spanning from birth to 12th grade, I bring a wealth of knowledge and insights to every session. My qualifications aren't just on paper – I've also proudly served on my district's dyslexia team as the middle school dyslexia specialist for grades 5 to 9.

-Passion for Literacy: Literacy isn't just my profession; it's my passion. Witnessing struggling students transform into confident, lifelong readers is what fuels my commitment to teaching. The joy of seeing their progress and growth is unmatched!

-Tailored Approach: While the Orton Gillingham approach is my specialty, I'm also available to provide support in elementary math and elementary to middle school reading and writing. My tutoring is customized to each student's unique learning needs, ensuring efficient and effective progress.

-Convenience of Virtual Learning: Embrace the convenience of learning from the comfort of your own space. With virtual tutoring, you can access my expertise without any geographical constraints.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to work with a dedicated educator who is passionate about empowering students with dyslexia. Together, we'll embark on a journey of growth, confidence, and academic success. Contact me today to schedule your virtual tutoring sessions!
