About Matt
I'm a very detail-oriented instructor, and I dedicate time in my sessions to teaching not only technique, but drill the situations that open the opportunity to use it.
My Martial Arts experience:
-Highschool Wrestling (2010-2012) *District Champion
-Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor (2015-2017)
-NWCA College Wrestling Season at UT (2020)
-Purple belt in Jiujitsu under Matt Arroyo
-BJJ Championship wins at;
1. Copa America
2. Arte Suave Cup
3. Grappling Industries
-3x MMA Champion with 2 TKO's and 1 Submission
Coaching Experience:
-Current Striking coach for Gracie Tampa South
-Former Teen's Jiujitsu coach for Gracie Tampa South
-Former Kids Jiujitsu coach at Gracie Trinity
-I have trained thousands of United States Marines in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program

Step 1: Determine their current skills/capabilities by putting them through motions in their sport.
Step2: Place them through fundamental drills of their sport to see what they are good/bad at.
Step 3: Work on building their strengths to apply their best weapons in competition and building a game plan.
I have trained all types of students to include:
1. Military
2. Police
3. Firefighters
4. Adults at all levels
5. Teens at all levels
6. Kids at all levels
Fall in love with the process of fighting rather than the end goal.
Two of my students that I do 1 on 1 privates with both TKO'd their opponents in their Rival MMA fights last month.

All lessons are $60/hour if I come to you, or if I am met at a public place.
All lessons taken at Gracie Tampa South MMA will be $150/hour. This will include resources such as;
1. An official UFC size MMA Cage
2. Matted floors and walls
3. Crash mats for throws
4. Heavy bags for striking
5. Gym equipment
