About Latasha
I believe that learning should be a fast, easy and fun process. I have experience working from 1st-12th grade math, from basic arithmetic to calculus. I currently work with Arlington Public Schools as an Paraprofessional working with middle schoolers in the the math dept. I try to use hands on practical approaches to learning math in ways that make it fun and interesting. My favorite type of math is Algebra.
I started teaching ballroom dancing. I became a ballroom professonal and then turned my attention to education as a career.
I have an associate of Arts Drew from Miami Dade College. I’m currently working on finishin my Bachlors in mathematics. I work for APS with a middle school in the math department.

I’ve worked with middle school students mostly from various backgrounds, educational level with various needs.
Math can be fun and enjoyable. Develop your understand with fun games that are easy to remember.
I had a student that didn’t really want to work on anything let along math, but I was able to motivate the student to see the positive of the situation and feel comfortable with their own ability to persevere.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Discuss practical and memorable study tools on math topics. Discuss a interactive notebook vs. traditional notes. Fun and informative videos they can recommend. Available hrs. before or after class to meet to disscuss level of understanding.
