About Eric
I tutor all ages and subjects!
Here's a little bit about me:

I studied at University of Cincinnati and received my master's in aerospace and mechanical engineering, magna cum laude. Throughout high school and college I usually found myself as the top student in math and science. I started tutoring as volunteering, and helping friends, and as I saw my students improving dramatically, I quickly fell in love with teaching.
By the time I finished my master's in 2017, I was working with students in all grades and subjects - from college students in multi-variable calculus and calc-based physics (my favorites), to study habits and organization skills for grade school students with ADHD, to high school students prepping for ACT/SAT.
I now have over 10 years of tutoring experience, and I absolutely love it. I've tutored for both volunteer and paid organizations (e. g. Walnut Hills Alumni Association, OSU Young Scholar Program) as well as tutoring privately with 200+ students.
I have helped many students exceed their expectations on standardized tests, including PSAT, SAT, and ACT. I scored in the 99th percentile on these tests and was awarded the National Merit Scholarship. I can help beyond just knowing the material, but with strategies and time management techniques to test with confidence.
My focus is development of understanding, NOT memorization or repetition. My students tell me that our sessions are fun and stress-relieving, and that I'm great at finding new ways to explain when a concept isn't making sense. I consistently see a significant improvement in their grades - part of why I love my job. I am easy to get along with, and want to make learning as easy and enjoyable as possible!
Scheduling a session:

My rate is $90 for a 1.5hr session, and 40/hr for additional time. For in-person tutoring, I can drive anywhere, but may ask a mileage fee for long distances. I do most of my tutoring online, which provides great flexibility in location and scheduling, and no driving fee.
Take $40 off your first session, and $40 off when you refer a new student to me.
