About Scott
I believe that a proper education and a set of good values is important to leading a healthy adult life. Understanding math is important because it helps students learn problem solving skills that will help them overcome future obstacles. Something as common as solving for "x" teaches us how to identify the goal of the whole problem. I excel at simplifying problems so that they become less intimidating for my students.
I am new to tutoring students but I have tutored many of my classmates on the road to earning my college degree. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from FAU, so I have dealt with my fair share of math. I have taken up to Calculus 3, however I prefer to start with the basics before I start tutoring more advanced mathematics. I don't have my own website or social media but I have alerts on my phone for this website so I am very responsive to any inquiries.
I enjoy helping people achieve that sigh of relief when they finally understand that one concept that was bugging them. It's just as rewarding as making someone laugh without a care in the world to me. I assure you that tutoring is not just an extra source of income to me, it's more of hobby that keeps my mind sharp.

I will ask the student to show me problems that they struggle with and identify the underlying skills that they need to work on in order to succeed in class and to improve their ability to learn new material. A strong foundation in math makes learning new material exponentially easier.
