About Everly
My service stands out because I am not a one lesson fits all tutor. I fine tune every student's learning experience based on ther learning level, learning style, and personality type. This is to ensure that the student is getting the very best training.
I enjoy helping students better themselves. I am a firm believer of if you know better, you will do better. I want my students to be confident in their knowledge and abilities. Not only do I teach my students important educational lessons but I also try to find ways to incorporate life lessons as well.
I started teaching by helping my own siblings and most of the children on my street with their homework. I then moved to after school programs while in high school and college. Since then I have continued to mentor and teach students daily.
I am a college graduate and have been working with multitudes of children for over 15 years. I have also been a tutor since 2009. I am a coach of a sports team so I am capable of managing competing personalities.

My typical process is by learning how the student processes and recalls information. By assessing their learning and personality type I can find the best ways to help them specifically.
I have worked with many types of students including but not limited to students with learning disabilities, IEP, behavioral problems, and even students on the spectrum.
The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to be intentional of what your looking for. I would make sure that the teacher's and the student's goals align.
A recent event that I am fond of is one of the students who I used to tutor has recently become a teacher and stated that one reason she wanted to be some a teacher is because of how I helped her. She enjoyed my teaching methods and still comes to me for advice regarding her students

I have two children who get after school homework help from Ms. J and they absolutely love her. She is always on time and has a great attitude. She really makes sure that the kids understand the subject before moving on. She also has these great learning games she does with the kids to help with their recall. You can tell that she really cares about my kids and their future. She will not disappoint, I’m sure of it.
My daughter Lia has been tutored by Ms.J for the past year and a half and I am impressed by her teaching skills. She is very thorough and adapted to my daughter’s needs almost immediately. Since Lia has been tutoring with Ms. J, her progress reports have improved dramatically. She is getting so many compliments from her teachers regarding her growth and she has even went up 2 reading levels. I have also noticed a change in my daughters behavior when it comes to schoolwork. She is more excited and confident in her work and with her classmates in school. You will not be disappointed with Ms. J as she truly is one of the best.
